I recently played The Talos Principle (the original release) for the 2nd time, about 7 years after the first time I played it.
Back then what really captivated me more than the puzzles, were the environments and the story, which at the time really did make me think. Because of this I didn't make any effort to try to complete the game 100%.
This time round I basically ignored the story and just focused on the puzzles, every last one of them. If anything I enjoyed it even more. Enough time had passed that I had completely forgotten about any of the solutions. I'm also much busier now, but I found it easier to fit in a puzzle or two here and there rather than trying to find enough time to get the same sense of satisfaction compared to most other games.
I have also found that by going from not being able to figure out the problem at all to "ah! so obvious that was easy" is immensely rewarding and helps me get into the right mindset and focus for the workday ahead.
Highly recommended!
